An Afternoon at the Art Museum

Hi again! Wow, two posts in two days! That must be a record for a baby!By the way, guess who took this picture of me? That's right, my big sister -- good thing, since my parents can hardly be bothered to photograph me. It must be that second child thing....

Anyway, this post isn't about me, it's about how Zula went to the art museum with her preschool. I was there, but you won't see any pictures of me because I was stuck in the Ergo the whole time. Here's Zula and two friends getting their nametags:

Here's Zula's teacher Barbara telling them about the Kreegers, whose house this used to be. This was all their art, too!

This is in the Monet room. Laughlin looks a little concerned about impressionism...

Here's where Zula and her friends met the museum's director. That's a Kandinksy behind them and a cool sculpture in the foreground...

Then we got to hear a story in front of a big landscape painting:

And finally, the best part -- we got to make some art! Or, I should say, the big kids did. I was still relegated to the Ergo. But I live vicariously through Zula these days. So here's some shots of my favorite artist at work:

Next time you come visit you can come to the Kreeger Museum with us. It's right in our neighborhood -- who knew?

Happy art-making, everybody!

And you can find Zula's painting among the other Impressionist paintings?
